Bearing fruit means that you disciple other people who are born again. Just as Jesus was sent into the world and bore fruit through discipling the Twelve. Many Christians are not really bearing a lot of fruit. They know the Bible, but are not able to help others to get born again. Last week I was driven to study the Apostles in the book of Acts. I was desiring to know if the Apostles were ‘special’ in a certain way. I wanted to know what you can find about this in the Bible. I was curious about this because Christians have all kind of different opinions about the Apostles. Some say that they were really special and only they could do the things they did. Others believe that the Apostles were exclusive, just as some followers of Jesus today. They think that only those exclusive Christians have received a special anointing and perform special signs of God. Some believe that you have to be blessed or anointed by such a person to serve Jesus. I believe that anyone can serve Jesus, but I want to follow what the Bible says.
